Everyone always loves to see Ruby show up at an event, she is a very active member or our group and she frequently runs around saying hello to everyone during shows.

This car was cut down into a AAA service truck in the 1920’s. The crank is off it as someone was going to try and restore it back to a touring car but gave up. I intended to put the crank back on it. The first tow truck ever, was, I understand, a 1913 Cadillac converted by a man named Holmes which went on to become a large tow truck company.

This is the car that started it all. For many years we drove this up and down the coast on tours and to many shows. I finally decided to do a bit of minor restoration (new wiring, etc). One thing turned into another and she’s now undergoing the full restoration you’ve been reading about. With a lot of work (and even more luck) she would be done in time for the 2006 Grand National. Well, luck was not with us, but the restoration is still going. We’ll work on her over the winter and have her back on the road in the spring.

This is the car that got me started in the CLC around 1970. My dad was looking for a Cadillac to replace his ’35 Buick in 1956 and found this car when the original owner traded it along with a 75 series for a brand new ’56 Cadillac. It had about 24,000 miles on it when he bought it, and it now has about 62,000. The car is nearly all original, including paint and interior. The engine and original Hydro have never been opened up and she runs like a dream. We’ve received several first in class awards including Silverado, Harrah’s and our own National Meet in 1999. Hopefully this car will stay in the family for many more years.

I’ve owned this car for a few years, but due to an extended illness and lack of garage space, I have not gotten very far on restoring it.

Purchased in February, 2006 after a five year search, this car needs a little work but is exactly what I was looking for. Look for it at the Grand National in Los Angeles this year!

1971 Cadillac Eldorado Convertible
Patti & Dave Ricci
This car became ours as a result of having a car stolen. Dave asked what I wanted . . . then he found it for me (in Lionel’s garage). After a bit of work and a lot of T.L.C., Maude became my daily driver and has served faithfully for several years. She is now awaiting an engine rebuild (after the ’38 and ’61 are finished, of course).
